I was absolutely delighted for Michelle when she passed her test this morning. She was so unfortunate on her 1st attempt and when she went to do it only last Saturday, it was cancelled by the examiner due to icy road conditions, but luckily she was given today as a quick test date and finally got what she so deserved. A lovely young lady, we had some great laughs together. What a wonderful Christmas present to get. Well done Michelle.

When I first met Karen, she had some knowledge of driving, and when she started her EDT programme, I could see the skills rising. She very quickly adapted to doing things the correct way and very soon it became second nature to her. She was so unlucky on her 1st attempt 2 weeks ago, picking up a Grade 3 fault for a silly mistake, but I told her to apply immediately and she did. This morning, she was never going to repeat that silly mistake and came home with the result she deserved. Congratulations Karen.

A lovely lady who was with me from the very beginning. Lisa Marie was always such a bubbly person and full of chat. She really put in a tremendous effort with all of her lessons. Lisa, sadly lost her Dad after applying for her first test and had to postpone it, and on the 2nd attempt had her handbag along with her learner permit stolen on the very day of her test, which meant again having to be postponed. However, things always happen for a reason, and Lisa finally got her well deserved Novice plates this morning on her 1st attempt at actually doing the driving test. I remember getting a phone call from a lovely gentleman, Roger, who actually rang me from England and said he wanted to invest in his grandson's driving lessons. The wheels were set in motion and so began my relationship with Liam who was with me right from the very beginning. As the months went by, I could see a huge difference in Liam's driving and yesterday when I did the mock test with him, I could only find 2 faults. This evening, he came back with only 1 fault. A brilliant drive, and a well deserved outcome from someone who put so much time and effort into passing their test on the very first attempt. Congratulations and safe driving for the future Liam. I met Ray last November, I had been with a few different driving instructors but hadn't gotten on the best with them and my 1st attempt at my test was rapidly approaching so my friend Stacy recommended Ray. Unfortunately due to my nerves and lack of time with Ray, I failed. Second time around as soon as I booked my test I gave Ray a call and we got started. It was hard because I had lots of habits to break and I definitely gave him more than one fright!!! But Ray is a very patient man and very encouraging! We had lots of laughs throughout our lessons and got the work done too! It has all been worth it in the end because today I got my Full Licence!!!! I would never have managed it without Ray! "Last Monday I was sitting staring at my license which was due to expire in the first week of October so before I had a chance to back out I booked a driving test for the following Wednesday. My next step was to google instructors and with a few tabs open, music started playing from nowhere I figured out it was coming from Ray's webpage. I suddenly seen all the testimonials of people who passed their test with Ray and I was impressed so again I picked up the phone and before I could back out I called Ray and explained the situation that I was due to sit my 3rd test in a weeks time, We arranged to meet up for a 2 hour introduction lesson then we had 6 more after. I gelled with Ray straight away he adapted to my way of thinking, he actually taught me and gave me tips that no other instructor had done before for the first time in all my years of driving I didn't feel as If I was just thrown out expected to teach myself, Ray was with me all the way he kept telling me "you can do this, this here is your trophy (full license) come and get it", so this morning 3rd time lucky I walked in prepared and confident. repeating Ray's sayings and rhymes in my head and walked out with my certificate in my hand, and it was all thanks to Ray. This has to be one of the craziest students I ever had the pleasure of meeting. Every EDT lesson was always a laugh and a slagging match. I had to really keep on top of Kestutis so that he concentrated on what he was supposed to do. When he passed his test 1st time this morning, he nearly ran to the NDLS office to hand in the certificate before the new laws come into force tomorrow as regards N Plates and more penalty points. However, her friend Patience who passed her test with me back in May this year, put Joyce in my direction. A lot of bad habits were present, and I told Joyce I wasn't going to go easy on her. So, she took a package deal of lessons and then did the mock test with me and the results showed today on her face when she came out of the test centre. I struggled with the reverse around a corner and on the day of the test I didn't think I had done it correctly, so I assumed I failed. Tauqir was with me from the very beginning, completing all 12 EDT Lessons along with both of the manoeuvres. His brother Ibrar had previously passed his test with me back in December 2012. A very nice, friendly and pleasant man who is a barber by trade, Tauqir concentrated a lot on his lessons and was always asking questions which any ADI loves to hear because it shows a real interest in wanting to do better. He was very unfortunate when he done the test first time out and missed out on his licence by 2 marks, but today, on his 2nd attempt, all he had was just 2 marks. An absolute gentleman would be the words to describe Cian. He himself is a national school teacher originally from Co. Kerry. A man whose job has him travelling a lot and without the full licence could not use the motorway system. "Ray had quite the job on his hands to get me to pass the test. But by God he did it, and I'd say it wasn't easy for the man. I can honestly say I would not have got the test without him, and particularly first time. I could not recommend him highly enough, and I would tell people to come from all over the country to see him and his excellent teaching methods in action, not just Offaly, Laois and Kildare. One hell of a nice young man would be the words to describe Dylan. When he first came to me back in April, he was just finishing out his EDT Lessons. However, he wanted to switch Driving Instructors and I was glad he chose me. We got on really well together and always had a laugh. However, Dylan also knew that I was tough when I needed to be, and today, on his very 1st attempt, it paid off for him. "What joy... I got it!!!! I had so many poor habits. By Ray teaching firmly, fairly and with lots of laughter, he 'drove' them out of me, in surprisingly swift time. ( I honestly thought I would be having to try again). Kamila was one of the most nervous students I have ever met. A lovely girl, who was just a bag of nerves and would actually seize up during a lesson. She let her nerves get the better of her on her first 2 attempts at the test and lost out. Today, however, despite shaking with fear, she managed to overcome it and came home with her prize. A lovely lady who had been very unfortunate in 2 previous tests and came to me when recommended by her friend who is currently taking lessons with me. Patience put in a lot of effort with her lessons with me to get things right. And today, it paid off, because on her 3rd attempt, she came out of the test centre with a broad smile on her face. I first met Alvis last October when he started as an EDT student with me. He was always chatting in the car and was very polite and full of good humour. Richie only contacted me for the first time last week and told me his test was coming up. He had developed a lot of bad habits since he finished his EDT lessons with other instructors and was never shown the proper way of performing the manoeuvres. So in a crash course of 2 hours yesterday and 1 hour this morning, Richie passed his test on his first attempt. Congratulations Richie on a well deserved win. All the very best to you.

An absolute lovely lady who was a bit camera shy, hence the default photo but had taken a great interest in wanting to pass her test on her first attempt. Oumkeltoum had actually wanted to cancel her test because she thought she wouldn't be ready for it. However, I told her to give it a shot and she did. It was all worth it to see the look on her face.
