Last year, Seán was one of my TY students in Coláiste Choilm, in Tullamore and this year he got stuck into his EDT Lessons and put in 100%. Very attentive and attention to detail, I knew when I did the mock test with him that unless there was an absolute disaster, that he would pass on his 1st attempt and he did. A hell of a nice guy, Gordan & I got on so well together throughout his training and always had a good laugh together. Austin was very unlucky on his 1st test back in July. Having drove all over the world from manual to automatics, he decided upon doing his test in the manual. A lovely guy, very polite and friendly and always took on board what I was telling him. I was really delighted for him today when he passed. I first met Pádraig in March of 2016 when he started his EDT Lessons. Pádraig was a complete beginner and was always a great man for asking questions and wanting to know how to get things right. He worked hard and did a total of 26 lessons to get him to driving test standard, and today on his 1st attempt, he nailed it. I first met Raghu back in May and along with most seasoned drivers who have their own car, he had a lot of bad habits, most commonly, the coasting on the clutch, Over the course of his lessons, he worked hard to overcome this and when I did the mock test with him the day before his test, he passed. Ann had almost reached the end of her sanity when she contacted me. She had previously done the test 8 times with other instructors and nerves along with bad habits were letting her down. After a lot of practice to break the bad habits, and lots of encouragement to remain calm, she finally got her result today, and on the day of her 4th Wedding Anniversary. I first met Shane way back in January of this year when he began his EDT Lessons and from the very start, we just clicked together. He was a total beginner but with every lesson wanted to learn more and more. He grew in confidence and after 21 lessons, he sat the test this evening after a technical mix up with the RSA and passed on his 1st attempt. George began his EDT training in January this year and with every lesson, he just got better and better. He was very reluctant to do the mock driving test with me, but was very glad afterwards that he did as it pointed out a major flaw which would have failed him on test day. One of the proudest moments of my career as a Driving Instructor was to see my son David getting his picture onto the hall of fame. I first met Viorel just before Christmas. He had some driving knowledge, but a lot of bad habits as most learners do.
