"Learning Is A Treasure That Will Follow It's Owner Everywhere"
When I met Róisin way back in February of this year, she was insured on her own little car but a very nervous driver. Over the course of the last 8 months, along with her Dad, Ray, she started to get her driving together and started working on the routines that I was teaching her. She did a total of 21 lessons including the 12 EDT Lessons and pre test drive and because of that she passed 1st time today. Congratulations Róisin and best wishes for the future. I met Heather last April and began her EDT Lessons. She ended up getting her own car to practice in which really paid off. I only met Chloe back in September. She had already completed her 12 EDT Lessons with another instructor and had already failed 2 tests. She was well able to drive but just had all the bad habits which cost her that full licence so I just spent time getting rid of them bit by bit and when she done the test in Tullamore 1st time with me, she passed no problem. I only met Laura back at the end of June and from the start, we got on so well together. She is due her 2nd child in November and was in a bit of a panic to get all 12 lessons done and get the test over with before the big day. I first met Pamela back in May of this year and while she was already a driver for many years she didn't have to do the EDT programme as she had her Learner permit since before 2011. However, it still took a total of 16 lessons including a mock test and pre test lesson to bring her to driving test standard to get rid of all her bad driving habits. I really enjoyed my time in the car with Pamela and she is such a lovely lady. I knew unless there was a major upset, that she would pass the test 1st time today and she did. I first met Owen back in July and he was already a driver when I met him so it was only a matter of using the 12 EDT Lessons to get rid of any bad habits he had. By the time he was finished them, he was at a standard where I told him he was ready for the test and today he went out on his very 1st attempt and passed it with only 3 Grade 2 blue marks. Aislinn is a sister of Colm Kinsella who passed his test with me way back in September 2015. Aislinn was an excellent student who really got into her lessons and was constantly learning and developing. I got on really well with Aislinn and she was a very pleasant and polite young lady. After flying through the mock test with me the other day, I knew unless there was a major upset, that she would pass her test 1st time today just like her brother and she did. When I met Ciaran, he was already an established driver but with a lot of bad habits such as the most common one, coasting on the clutch. However, he worked hard at beating this and his driving got better and better. I was delighted for him when he passed his test on his very 1st attempt today with only 3 faults against him. Paddy & myself go back 31 years as we trained as recruits together in the Army way back in 1988. We were part of the the 7th Platoon, 3rd Inf Bn, Connolly Bks, Curragh Camp. Paddy had been driving for many years but because of his love and passion of horses, he let his licence lapse and had to begin again by doing the 12 EDT Lessons. It was great doing the lessons with him as we went over some old stories from our Army days and remembering the good times we had. I first met Thomas when he started his EDT Lessons last October. He quickly learned all the basic routines that needed learning which helped him better his driving skills.
