If you are of the nervous type, then this is the place for you. I want you to enjoy your introduction to the World of Driving in a totally relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Put all your fears aside and relax as you remember that you are in a Dual Control vehicle and your safety is my main concern at all times. This 2 Hour Introductory Lesson also provides the cushion of been a 2 hour Non EDT Lesson which means you won't be under any pressure to have data entered in a logbook and it covers all the very basics of car controls, safety checks, mirror checks, clutch control, steering, moving off and stopping. This gives you a huge advantage when you do eventually start your EDT Lessons, as the vast majority of the most common learning objectives experienced by all beginners, are already completed.

The 12 hour compulsory lessons are designed for all 1st time students of a Learner Permit on or after the 04th April 2011, who will have their lessons recorded and maintained in a Learners Log Book. All students that undertake lessons with 1 ROCK SOLID DRIVING SCHOOL and/or ACE-1-STOP Driving School will have a couple of options on how to complete their 12 EDT Lessons. You can choose from either the straight forward Pay As You Go system, or choose from the different EDT Packages that are available on the Price List page and pick the one that suits your budget.

When all the EDT Lessons are completed and you still feel you need extra lessons to bring you up to driving test standard, then choose from a range of Special Offers. There are 5 different packages on offer and it's up to you to choose which one will give you the best chance of passing your test 1st time. As a general rule of thumb, if you are a complete beginner when you start your 12 x EDT Lessons, then it would normally take Special Offer No. 4 or Special Offer No. 5 to get you up to driving test standard.

Intensive Driving Lessons are for those people who wish to pass their driving test in a short period of time. Our intensive driving courses are tailored to fit around your own personal circumstances and needs. These courses are sometimes referred to as "Crash Driving Courses" and without doubt, are the fastest way for learner drivers to take and pass their driving test. If you have some time off college or work holidays coming up, you can fit your Intensive Course around this and get all your lessons done in just
6 days.

MOCK DRIVING TEST
When you complete all 12 EDT Lessons and you finally get a date for your Driving Test, then it would be very wise to do maybe a few refresher lessons and then take the Mock Driving Test 24 to 48 hours before your test date, as this will give you a clear indication of what your driving ability is really like and would determine if you are finally ready to sit, and more importantly, pass the driving test.
"WHILE THIS MOCK TEST IS OPTIONAL AND TOTALLY AT THE STUDENTS CHOICE, IT SHOULD BE TREATED AS A NEED TO DO IF YOU ARE REALLY SERIOUS ABOUT WANTING TO PASS YOUR DRIVING TEST 1st TIME OUT. THIS FULL 2 HOUR SESSION WILL GIVE YOU MY HONEST PROFESSIONAL OPINION ON WHAT YOUR CHANCES WILL BE ON THE DAY OF YOUR TEST."

The use of the Driving School car for the purpose of Car Hire + Pre-Test Lesson is available to all students should they wish to use my car to sit their Driving Test when their big day arrives.
The hiring of the driving school car on driving test day is permitted ONLY if the student is at the required driving test standard. This has to be the final decision of the Driving Instructor in order to protect the tuition vehicle from any damage.
